Canvas Tip of the Week (05 August 2019)

Publishing Course Content

All content within Canvas cannot be accessed by students until it is “published.”

This means that every item created (assignment, quiz, rubric, page, etc.) is in “draft state” until it is “published.” If your students cannot access an item or assignment in your course, check that it has been published and then review date and time availability settings for the item.

Learn more about the publishing content items here(note that this is not an official Canvas guide, but a good resources provided by the University of Minnesota).
Don’t forget, courses need to be “published” too. Be sure to publish your course once it is ready to share with students at the beginning of the semester.
