Canvas Tip of the Week (12 August 2019)

Add A Profile Picture To Your Canvas Account

The picture you select appears when you send messages.

Did you know you can add a picture to your Canvas profile?  The picture selected appears when you send messages and can help to create community among you and your students.  Students and faculty are encouraged to add photos to help personalize discussion boards as well as provide reference when sending and receiving e-mails.

To update your Canvas Profile:

1. Log into Canvas (https://touro.instructure.com/).
2. Select the Account link from the Global Navigation.
3. Select “Profile.”
4. Select the round image to the left of your name.
5. Select to “Upload a Picture.”
6. Select “choose a picture.”

Note: We recommend the use of business professional photos. Select your photo carefully and encourage students to do the same.

7. Select “Save.”
