April 5 @ 10:00 am 5:00 pm

Dear Colleagues,This is the future of education!

I am inviting each of you to attend an Open House sponsored by LBX Immersive Technology on Tuesday, April 5th anytime between 10 and 5. We are fortunate to have LBX Immersive as neighbors on Mare Island. They are located at 1045 Walnut Ave. in one of the old Admirals’ quarters. You can just show up anytime between 10 and 5 on the April 5th to experience some of the fantastic immersive technology (VR, AR, XR) they have available for you to experience.

Over the past two weeks, Aaron McMath, Mark Teaford, Sarah Sweitzer, Tamara Trujillo, and I have experienced some of this cutting edge technology via demonstrations at LBX. The anatomy package they have there is the most sophisticated cadaver dissection available and far exceeds anything you have previously experienced. It is derived from the Visible Human Project: https://www.nlm.nih.gov/research/visible/visible_human.html
I have included a link to LBX’s website below. Please take time to visit on April 5th and block out an hour of your time. Parking is across the street. Just show up!
If you know of any other faculty/staff from TUC who might like to see
what LBX has available, please forward this email to them.If you have any questions, please contact me.
